Pupil Wellbeing
Yew Tree Community School Wellbeing Ethos
Mental health and well-being are central to life at Yew Tree Community School, where we prioritise creating a safe, nurturing environment that supports every child to grow. We promote positive mental health through strong relationships and inclusive practice as part of our commitment to prevention, and staff are skilled in recognising early changes so that identification of emerging needs is prompt and thoughtful. Through universal, timely and personalised early support, pupils are supported through trusted adults, regulation strategies and structured well-being opportunities that help them build resilience and develop healthy coping skills, and when needs are more complex, we work closely with families and external agencies to secure the right specialist support. This ensures every child feels safe, valued and able to grow.
