Dear parents and carers,

We have come to the end of another very busy and exciting term. Thank you to all our parents and carers for your ongoing support this term!

This term will end for children on Thursday 21st December 2023.

School will re-open for children on Tuesday 9th January 2024.

Therefore, I would like to wish all of those celebrating a lovely Christmas and Happy New year.  I hope you all have a relaxing time over the festive season.  We are looking forward to returning in January for the New Year and new term.

PE Kits

From Spring term onwards, children should come to school in their PE kits on their PE days. Please do not send children in with PE bags from January.

Driving and parking around school

We are continuing to see some poor driving and parking every day which puts our children at risk. Please do not park on the markings outside of school.

We are keen for children to walk and enjoy their journey to school. We know that many families live within a 10-minute walk from school, and we are keen to encourage as many families as possible to walk to school.

Thank you for keeping our families safe!

Year 4 took an exciting trip back in time to the Anglo-Saxon era. The children re-enacted a Saxon battle with the Vikings and explored the battle wear and weaponry of trained soldiers. They also learnt about archaeological practices and even had the chance to try out their skills as trainee archaeologists by retrieving and cataloguing a sample of finds. One of the most interesting parts of the visit was seeing real Saxon gold taken from the Saxon Hoard. Well done to Year 4 for being so well-behaved whilst exploring the castle and giving such well-thought out answers to our guides!

The semi-formal group have followed instructions to bake some treats to sell to Reception.

The pre-formal group had lots of fun learning how to play the drums!
